Charly Wenzel hails from Munich, Germany. A graduate of the Iwanson School of Contemporary Dance in Germany, she received a scholarship for studies at Ballet Academy Stockholm. Charly was a full-time student at the Alvin Ailey School, and a scholarship student at Jennifer Muller The Works in New York City. She has danced at the Munich State Opera, performed with Earl Mosley at Riverside Church and Joyce SoHo in 2005, and has danced in works by Kristin Dexnis, Patricia Weiss, and Chizuru Tanaka, among others. Charly has been touring internationally with Japanese singer Yoko Ishida, and is currently a member of Hydroflo Movement Company. Charly's own choreography has been shown in opera productions, culture competitions, and TV productions in Germany and at Steps, The Evolving Arts Theater, The Alvin Ailey School, Bronx Academy of Arts and Dance, PMT, Artist Event Network, and Interborough Repertory Theater in New York.
