Ae-Soon Kim was born in Okayama City, Japan. She began her dance training studying Korean Dance at the Okayama Korean School, then progressed into Classical Ballet at the Sonoko Sugimoto Ballet Studio. At age 15 she was accepted into the Elmhurst Ballet School and the Laine Theatre Art School in England. In 2002, Ae-Soon toured in the King and I UK National Tour sponsored by Clear Channel Company, and was the understudy for "Eliza" while dancing "Little Eva" for 2 years. Ae-Soon then began the dance program at Boston Conservatory, where she earned her B.F.A. in May 2007. Ae-Soon really appreciates her loving family in Japan for allowing her to study and perform overseas.
